Here are the candidates for Ulster County Legislature. Nine of them are enjoying free rides, and the people in their districts have lost the right to complain of anything.
There will be two primaries, but this could change if signatures are successfully challenged.
In District 19, Kevin Hines and Manna Jo Greene will vie in a primary election for the Independence line. I don’t believe that winning this primary would make a difference.
In District 21, the outcome of the GOP primary race between Terry Bernardo and John Dawson will decide the number of candidates in the November elections. If Bernardo loses, she is still guaranteed a presence on the November ballot on both the Independence and Conservative Party lines. If Bernardo wins, no more competitive swimming for Town of Rochester Republican Committee David O’Halloran: Dawson will hang forever around his neck.

We thought the Mr. O’Halloran resigned in May. Is he not a man of his word? Then again, was he ever?
Nice chart, Jon. And the next fun thing will be to watch the Opportunity to Ballot petitions, which were due to be filed by Thursday, 7/18. I predict there will be some challenges for the IND line. Going to be fun!
