Did you attend commemorative events today? Did you watch them on TV? How are you feeling? What are you remembering?

The victims included 246 on the four planes, 2,606 in New York City, and 125 at the Pentagon. I find some peace in reading their names to myself.

On the day of the attacks, New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani proclaimed, “We will rebuild. We’re going to come out of this stronger than before, politically stronger, economically stronger. The skyline will be made whole again.”

The skyline will be made whole again! I often thought about what Giuliani said, because my brother Adrian Marinescu – shown below in his World Trade Center “office” – kept posting photos from above.
