KINGSTON, N.Y. — The Ulster County Industrial Development Agency wants the owners of Skate Time 209 to pay more in property and school taxes than the Accord business originally agreed to because, agency officials said, the business hasn’t created all the jobs it originally proposed.
The roller skating rink is owned by Ulster County Legislature Chairwoman Terry Bernardo, R-Accord, and her husband Len Bernardo.
Members of the Agency’s board of directors on Wednesday voted 6-1 to ask the Bernardos to voluntarily agree to a 14 percent reduction in the payment-in-lieu-of taxes (PILOT) programs they receive in school and property taxes for their business. Board member John Morrow opposed the resolution.
Why did Morrow vote no? Because he is part of the Bernardo gang. Three years ago, when Manuela Michailescu wrote to all GOP town committee chairs in Ulster County – blowing the whistle on the Bernardo-Catalano-Gaddy-Schreibman dirty deal – Morrow wrote back:

Your unsolicited letter to the world clearly indicates your lack of understanding of the job of the county chairman. You are writing as an individual who has absolutely no concern of the larger picture. The chairman’s support for one candidate over another in this case is in an effort to strengthen the entire legislature. His effort is to get Independence Party support for a multitude of candidates so that we may take back control of the legislature. This is a critical election and you may find this hard to believe but it is bigger than you. The deals being worked out effect each and every one of our candidates including mine here in the Town of Ulster. You are being used as a pawn.
Wake up and start playing as a team player! You should be ashamed of yourself sending out unsolicited viscous emails of this nature. Either you are ON the team or NOT. Make up your mind. If you are not then get off and join another team.

As you could see from the above email, John Morrow is not the brightest bulb on the tree. That makes him an ideal fool foot soldier for the Bernardo family. In his own words: “Either you are ON the team or NOT.”

This man is obviously a horse’s ass. His type of politician is what we need to vote out of office.
I his own way, he is stating it is all about him and keeping his lucrative position. It is very apparent that appointing Terry Bernardo to the Legislature ( by way of a deal ) has not made the Legislature stronger. It is more costly and dysfunctional than ever.
And he does not cheat good either! Sinful how politics have a way of getting dirty and ugly. The vote speaks loudly–DEAL! There is no reason why the taxpayers of Ulster County should be sold down the road by Terry and Lenny. Make them pay it all back and boot their asses out of town along with the Pine Dud idiot! TIme for WE, the PEOPLE, to take action.
Please remember this next November when her term comes up Rochester.
