According to the report released on December 2, 2013 by the Moreland Commission chosen this summer to study the level of New York’s political corruption, the Empire State allows donors with deep pockets to set the legislative agenda for the rest of the state.
The investigation concluded that reform cannot wait. New York needs comprehensive reform to restore the public trust and change the permissive culture of corruption in state government.
