Sometime in January we had the pleasure to introduce the Terry Award, to be presented every year to the most malignant Ulster County politician. The call for this year’s nominations produced a short list of characters from both ends of the political spectrum.
Now is the time for the promised poll. Above are the nominees, in alphabetical order. Vote for the one who – in your opinion – inflicted the most damage on Ulster County’s political compass. Poll closed at midnight on Sunday, February 9, 2014.

Hmmm… Interesting result of this poll. People outside Rochester better pay attention and try to understand what happened there the last few years. What happened in Rochester stayed in Rochester, for far too long, letting out only a distorted image of what people actually thought about O’Halloran and Bernardos.
Remember Terry’s unsuccessful run for Legislator in 2007? Remenber Len’s unsuccessful run in 2008 for County Executive? That’s where they should have remained, at lost-race level. But no! O’Halloran had to support their power grabbing until they got to be Queen and king-maker.
Bernardo deserves to be the first runner-up. He has great potential to win next year!
