Ed Gaddy, you’re full of it… (Part 1)

Dump Terry Bernardo

In a previous post – Re-Elect Congressman Chris Gibson – I made a point about Julian Schreibman, the challenger:

“…but I know why he does not deserve the trust of the people of Ulster County.

Julian Schreibman is one of the politicians who brought us the embarrassment of having Terry Bernardo at the helm of Ulster County Legislature. Period. Schreibman and Ed Gaddy (Chairman of the Ulster County Conservative Party) went along with the dirty deal cooked in 2009 by Len Bernardo (Chairman of the Ulster County Independence Party) and Mario Catalano (Chairman of the Ulster County Republican Party).”

The truth rubbed Ed Gaddy the wrong way, and he posted this comment:

    Ed Gaddy says:
    October 17, 2012 at 10:11 AM

I know you will not allow this to stay on your site because sneaky cheap shots are your M.O., with no chance to respond. You know darn well that the reason I agreed to a cross endorsement was it gave Rochester a Legislator for the first time since the late, great Vinny Dunn. You also Manuela did not contact me till after it all happened. We had a few minute conversation and she went to the Shawangunk Journal and stated I endorsed her candidacy. I don’t have any problem with someone running for office, but jumping in at the last minute doesn’t work. Calling me names and making baseless accusations supposedly in the name of a Candidate I strongly support, Chris Gibson is just another example of why I wouldn’t support Manuela for anything now. Fool me once…

Ed Gaddy’s gibberish deserves an autopsy:

“I know you will not allow this to stay on your site because sneaky cheap shots are your M.O., with no chance to respond.”

Strong beginning, unfortunately deeply rooted in fantasy. I never, ever deleted any comments. To say differently is to lie. Ed Gaddy, you are full of it…

“You know darn well that the reason I agreed to a cross endorsement was it gave Rochester a Legislator for the first time since the late, great Vinny Dunn.”

There was no Conservative Party member on the ballot, so you did not agree to any cross endorsement. You agreed to a dirty deal. Claiming now that your lofty goal was to give “Rochester a Legislator for the first time since the late, great Vinny Dunn” is unadulterated crap: Marlene Dunn was our last Legislator from Rochester. Male chauvinist pig much? Ed Gaddy, you are full of it…

“You also Manuela did not contact me till after it all happened.”

Manuela called you repeatedly, and left about a dozen messages before you finally called back. And what the heck do you mean by “till after it all happened?” Ed Gaddy, you are full of it…

“We had a few minute conversation and she went to the Shawangunk Journal and stated I endorsed her candidacy.”

Ed Gaddy, now you’re lying shamelessly. Manuela never claimed to have your personal endorsement. During an interview, she mentioned receiving this notification from the Board of Elections:

Dump Terry Bernardo

“I don’t have any problem with someone running for office, but jumping in at the last minute doesn’t work.”

Seriously, Ed? Jumping in at the last minute? According to the Ulster County Board of Elections (see above memo), Manuela Michailescu has been nominated as a candidate by the Conservative Party as of July 17, 2009 – almost 4 months before the elections held on November 3. How on earth was Manuela “jumping in at the last minute?” Ed Gaddy, you are full of it…

“Calling me names and making baseless accusations supposedly in the name of a Candidate I strongly support, Chris Gibson is just another example of why I wouldn’t support Manuela for anything now. Fool me once…”

Oh My Gaddy! This is so rich, I don’t even know where to start… So I save it for the next installment. Ed Gaddy, you are full of it…

  1. Scott Haggerty says:

All you ever seem to do is personally attack people. First, it was Len Bernardo. Then it was Terry Bernardo. Your list has continued with Imre Beke Sr., Imre Beke Jr., Roger Rascoe, Senator Bonacic, the Rep Chairman of Rochester, Rich Cahill, and now Ed Gaddy.

When I posted once before daring to disagree with your massive ego, you wrote an attack piece against me.

It seems that you think everyone disagreeing with you are fools. Perhaps you need to look in the mirror. Give it a rest. You are a petty, nasty, jackass with delusions of grandeur.

What’s striking is this: Gaddy, a party boss, “gave Rochester a legislator.” It’s not supposed to be like this! Voters should elect their representatives, and that’s something Gaddy doesn’t like.

Gaddy is like all the rest that you have exposed on this blog, he can’t stand the truth.
People like him are what have ruined politics and prevent good people from seeking office.

This is Ed Gaddy responding to the famous Anonymous comments so often posted on Jons Blog. You know I worked in print journalism for a number of years. I have also written many commentaries while editing others. Yes it is true i have been involved in the political process for many years. What this all has in common is that I noticed a long time ago that people who write develop a unique writing style, a “prose print” if you will. Almost impossible to disguise. Stop and read these citizen postings with folks afraid(?) to use their names and you will see that they are written by the same person. Care to guess who? As for Anon # 3, If you have a median of perception you would know that the candidates for that district were always out of Wawarsing with Rochester coming up short.
Oh and Marlene Dunn, God Love Her, stepped up to the plate after her Husband Vinnie passed away. She took an appointment to fill the vacancy created by Vinnie’s passing.
All the nonsense in the world spewed out by you Jon and your fictitious avatars calling me names again only dilutes your argument. You also skirted over the fact that when
Manuela did call me the petitions were already sent out, the meetings held, interviews completed and the “Show” was already on the road. I and the Conservative party have always given fair hearing to anyone who wants to seek our Endorsement. Unfortunately time is never on our side. There is that little known facet of the process called Deadlines. You know filing dates. You can’t jump in and contact me that late in the process and not expect it to problematic. With 20 towns, a city and 4 villages do you think putting a meeting together on no notice with Chairmen, and 5 other elected officers who were already out with petitions for other candidates was possible? I don’t wish Manuela ill but please stop blaming me for doing the right thing, and her getting in to the races so late.

What do you have to say?
