Tim Bunch, the mouthpiece for Len and Terry Bernardo.

Town of Rochester Supervisor Carl Chipman posted on Facebook a photo of him shaking hands with New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo. How did Chipman dare to hurt Tim Bunch’s feelings? Chipman’s crime cannot remain unpunished! So, Mr. Bunch finds time in his busy schedule to post on Facebook the same photo under the word TRAITOR.

Not enough! Let’s add a WWII photo of Jews from the Lodz ghetto being loaded onto freight trains for deportation to the Chelmno extermination camp, and hope that somehow the voters would tie the Nazis’ crimes against humanity with Carl Chipman. After all he has German roots, doesn’t he?

Dump Terry Bernardo

What makes Mr. Bunch’s stupid act even more unpalatable is the fact that he was about 36 inches away from Terry Bernardo when – at the Meet the Candidates debate in Kerhonkson – she vainly bragged about having a close working relationship with Cuomo and going to the Governor’s house frequently. If he knows what they are, double standards don’t bother Bunch.

Before I forget, Mr. Bunch, what on earth is that sh*t on your upper lip?

Tiny Tim vs. Red Man

Mr. Bunch, I know you’re anxious to see what the red man with a shaking head has to say, so here you go:

You misspelled “car salesman.” The correct spelling is “Chief Executive Officer of the Town of Rochester for the last six years, President of the Ulster County Association of Town Supervisors and Village Mayors.” I know it takes a lot of paint, but hey, nobody said life is easy…

So, Mr. Bunch, how are you going to stop your friends from voting for Carl Chipman? Are you going to shoot them?

Dump Terry Bernardo

This sign has most affected me personally out of all of the warped attacks made by Mr. Bunch. First, let me say that I appreciate his service to our country as well as I do respect all others who have served our great nation in the military. I wish that I had that opportunity but I didn’t. My dream when I was young was to go to West Point and to serve my country as an officer in the army. At the age of 12 that opportunity was taken away when a young man playing with a hunting knife stabbed me in the right eye causing blindess in that eye. I even attempted to pass the physical when I was 18 but failed the eye exam. Not having vision in my right eye – and having a limited field of vision due to an eye muscle disease I was born with in my left eye – has limited my vocational opportunities. My not serving in the military was not born out of choice but out of disability which I had absolutely no control over.

Nevertheless, I have overcome many obstacles in my life which have made me stronger, wiser, and more tolerant and understanding when it comes to dealing with difficult situations as well with others who have dissimilar points of view. I have protected our Town in many ways over the years from many different threats both from within and from the outside. I volunteered countless hours on the Rondout Valley School Board as a member and as its President towards protecting the education of our children, while also looking out for the taxpayers in our community.

I led our emergency team through Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storms Lee and Sandy. I was there with our brave firefighters during the Great Minnewaska Fire. I protected the pocketbooks of our taxpayers throughout my terms. I fought to protect our community from the health and safety hazards from Hydraulic Fracturing. I’ve run out of the house at 3am to help a citizen who ran out of fuel. I could go on and on but the my main point is the ability to protect our community as your Supervisor doesn’t come from experience on the battlefield. It comes from having the guts to stand up and do what is right, to protect your community regardless of fear of reprisal or special interests pressure.

Mr. Bunch can’t even get my previous occupation correct. I spent over 26 years in the automotive industry. The first ren years began in vehicle sales as a sales consultant. The other 16 years were in service management and overall general management of the entire dealership with multimillion dollar annual revenues and expenditures. I also was the assistant controller for a multi-corporate group. My experience in the industry has made me well prepared to be the Chief Executive Officer of our Town. Mr. Bunch should have done a little homework before he made this sign.

Actually friends respect the choices their friends make. This is especially true when we participate in the democratic process by voting for whomever we have the God Given Right to choose to represent us. Unfortunately it seems that respect and tolerance of others who have differing opinions is not part of the vocabulary of this sign’s author.

BTW someone must have used “Spell Check For Signs:” as it looks like the author caught himself misspelling the first “friends” and changed the “E’ to an “I”. Maybe he should have done the same with all of the errors on his website. One can tell as much attention was placed on the English language as was on the so called “facts” concerning the issues.

Not once has Lynn Archer stated that she supports the Safe Act. I’ve spoken with her about this and she agrees that the process by which it was passed was flawed and that there are flaws in the legislation. For example the .22 Semi Automatic Mossberg I had as a kid would be considered an “Assault Weapon” according to the legislation that was passed. This is just another lie of many perpetuated by VoteBunch.com.

As a matter of fact, I would feel a lot more comfortable being around an armed level-headed Lynn Archer than the “Jarhead” purveyor of mis-truths who created this sign.

Councilwoman Archer was presented with a resolution written by Councilman Spano in support of our Second Amendment Rights with less than 5 minutes before the start of a board meeting. She had not had a chance to read the resolution so she was being asked to approve a resolution she did not have time to review. Councilwoman Archer being as prudent as she is did not want to vote for or against a resolution which she did not have sufficient time to read and understand.

Lemmings follow blindly usually to their own demise and thankfully she isn’t a lemming. Just remember what happened in Nazi Germany with the populace and Adolf Hitler. Lynn is an independent thinker who uses due diligence in her decision making process and I respect her for that. We need more people in government like this and less knee-jerk reactionaries – like the author of this sign – who blindly follow down the path he is led by self-serving leaders filled with narcissism. Just another reason to vote for Lynn Archer.

All are great occupations and something to be proud of, but why does Mr. Bunch not refer to himself as a correction officer? At all of his public appearances and in his advertising he refers to his occupation as the generic term “peace officer” instead of his actual title of correction officer. Is he ashamed of it? I believe this is a great disservice to all those who serve as COs in our community. I appreciate what they deal with daily and thank them for their service.

I remember in elementary school we used to get graded on “how well one worked with others.” I used to get As for this and I guess those skills followed me into adulthood as I try to work with everyone – regardless of partisan affiliation – in order to make the Town of Rochester a better place to live, work, and play. That is why I am endorsed by the Democrats, Republicans, and the Conservatives. People respect and appreciate the fact that I reach across party lines to work out solutions to what is best for our community while at the same time not compromising my core values.

The only party that didn’t endorse me was the Independence Party which does not have a democratic selection process. It certainly looks like their candidate got a failing grade and “does not play well with others”.

Anyone can sue anyone and the Town is seen as a target. That’s why there are so many lawyers advertising on television. We actually have gone to court on only a couple of cases and we have won each time. Just another twisted false allegation which is dirty politics. That’s where the real dirt is.
