Ulster County Legislators passed the budget along with the County takeover of Safety Net and a Flow Control Law for the RRA. Mario Catalano was there trying to talk Republican Legislators into voting NO on the budget. Great year for Democrats next year! The NO votes were Terry Bernardo, Richard Gerentine, John Parete, Rich Parete and Rob Parete. Hmmm… seems to be a pattern forming here.

With less than stellar results in Ulster County’s elections of a few weeks ago, it should come as no surprise that Roger Rascoe is disgusted and some within the GOP are disgusted with him. Maybe Roger wants out, maybe some in the GOP want him out and maybe it’s a combination of both, but as love is quickly lost in Ulster County politics, a few of the old guard apparently have contacted former Chairman Mario Catalano to ask him to return as Chairman…”

Mario Catalano? Isn’t Mario Catalano the former GOP chairman, the Einstein who got in cahoots with Len Bernardo, the Boodlehole Machiavelli? If you pretend that you don’t know what I’m talking about, please read Republicans or MARIOnettes?

I told you so, and I’m happy to rub it in.

Republicans, by all means, prop the guy up and give him the strings… Laughter is the best medicine, and we all know that Ulster GOP is critically ill.

From the article Ulster County Industrial Development Agency wants Skate Time 209 to hike tax payments – in Daily Freeman:

KINGSTON, N.Y. — The Ulster County Industrial Development Agency wants the owners of Skate Time 209 to pay more in property and school taxes than the Accord business originally agreed to because, agency officials said, the business hasn’t created all the jobs it originally proposed.

The roller skating rink is owned by Ulster County Legislature Chairwoman Terry Bernardo, R-Accord, and her husband Len Bernardo.

Members of the Agency’s board of directors on Wednesday voted 6-1 to ask the Bernardos to voluntarily agree to a 14 percent reduction in the payment-in-lieu-of taxes (PILOT) programs they receive in school and property taxes for their business. Board member John Morrow opposed the resolution.

Why did Morrow vote no? Because he is part of the Bernardo gang. Three years ago, when Manuela Michailescu wrote to all GOP town committee chairs in Ulster County – blowing the whistle on the Bernardo-Catalano-Gaddy-Schreibman dirty deal – Morrow wrote back:

Wake up and start playing as a team player! You should be ashamed of yourself sending out unsolicited viscous emails of this nature. Either you are ON the team or NOT. Make up your mind. If you are not then get off and join another team.

In a previous post – Re-Elect Congressman Chris Gibson – I made a point about Julian Schreibman, the challenger:

The truth rubbed Ed Gaddy the wrong way, and he posted this comment:

According to the Ulster County Board of Elections (see above memo), Manuela Michailescu has been nominated as a candidate by the Conservative Party as of July 17, 2009 – almost 4 months before the elections held on November 3. How on earth was Manuela “jumping in at the last minute?” Ed Gaddy, you are full of it…
